There's been so much growth and development this month for both kids despite a week or so of being sick. They're definitely getting ready to turn 4 and 2, respectively!
Growth: No official measurements for Jonah. Tessa had her 18-month visit a couple of weeks ago and had weight 26 pounds, 12 ounces (89th percentile) and height 32 1/4 inches (58th percentile). That's our Tiny!

Sleep: Things were a little rough on vacation, and with being sick, but otherwise fairly consistent sleep schedules with a 2-hour nap around 2:00 and going to bed around 8:30-9 with Jonah waking up between 7:00 and 7:30 and Tessa anywhere from 8:00-9:00. They still love their bedtime routines, and Jonah has started liking his bath even more recently since he's been watching a lot of
Octonauts and has discovered his Captain Barnacles/Gup-D bathtub playset. He would play with it in the tub for hours if we let him, but he needs to get to sleep!

Eating: Not much change here. We've been working with Jonah on helping get the table ready for dinner in addition to clearing his place, and Tessa is starting to clear her place, too. They both love to eat almost anything. Jonah definitely enjoys some "toddler foods," and had macaroni and cheese every night on the cruise, but he will eat whatever he gets. Some favorites include clam chowder, salmon hot dogs, and shrimp shumai. Tessa is pretty good at self-feeding but goes through periods where she really wants someone else to take the reins for her.

Personality: Jonah is starting to come out of his shell a little more at school with the simple change of getting him there a little earlier. He has stopped complaining about going to school (he used to whine when he told him it was a school day, even though he would tell us at the end of the day that he enjoyed it, where now he is happy about it), and has told us about some friends there. We're proud of him, and more importantly he's proud of himself! Tessa is just a little goofball. We think she's going to be the class clown.

They had PJ day at school. Jonah, needless to say, was thrilled. |

Milestones: Tessa's language is just exploding this month! Her vocabulary has expanded exponentially. Some favorites include "blocky" (broccoli), "hebbo" (hippo), "disewah" (dinosaur), and, of course " Jahnah!" (Jonah). She has put together two words at a time ("Boot on!"). She's just getting it, and it's so fun to see and hear! Jonah's big accomplishment is developing his confidence, as above. He is also working on his handwriting skills, though we're trying hard to avoid pushing too much!

Events: The big happening of this month was our second winter vacation: a Disney cruise with Grandma and Grandpa, Mimi and Poppy, Aunt Lauren, and Aunt Alana! We spent five nights on the high seas on the Disney Wonder with stops at Cozumel and Castaway Cay. We could not have asked for better company or better weather! The kids just loved it. Tessa was a little upset that she was not allowed in the pool (no swim diapers allowed) and was initially put off by the beach but by our second day out she really took to digging and playing in the sand. Jonah surprised us by going to the Oceaneer's Club (kids only area) without us a couple of times! Aside from the actual travelling part of vacation, as well as a few sleep issues (it is VERY challenging to get the kids to nap in a room together; they just feed off of each other and are fairly ridiculous), we had a great time.

Of course, on getting back from vacation Jonah immediately got sick with a fever for about a week, and Tessa followed suit. We watched a lot of Frozen that week, but on the plus side we got a lot of snuggles.
