The ultrasound went great! The sonographer went through all the baby's major bones, organs, blood flow in and out of the heart, brain, umbilical cord, his cute little profile, and of course the defining picture that told us yes, as we suspected, it's a boy! She said everything looked healthy, which is the best news! He wiggled around the entire time, yawning, hiccuping, bringing his hand to his head, brining his knee to his head for the matter (which Julian then demonstrated he could do too) and it was so fun to see what it looked like when I felt the kicks. When she first told us the baby is a boy, my first image was Julian in the kitchen with him, both clad in aprons, with Julian teaching the ways of assembling a mirepoix, adequately seasoning a dish, and getting a good sear. Of course that's a long way off, but don't tell Julian.
Cute profile
Waving "hi" with all 5 fingers
And showing off all 5 toes
And we hope it doesn't offend anyone to show the picture evidence... it's a boy. If you get lost, we are looking up, and the sonographer put the cursor pointing towards "the proof."
So exciting!!! Love the pictures-- thanks for sharing! :-D
ReplyDeleteHmmm, here it starts with embarrassing the kids on fb. Me thinks picture #1 looks like Miss Lindsay!
ReplyDeleteIt's not facebook though. That was the whole point of the blog. Embarrassing him in a mildly less public way :) Is it too much?
ReplyDeleteNot too much! yay for a baby boy! If Julian gets to teach him everything there is to know in the kitchen, do I get him on the lacrosse field?! Or, at least maybe for some tennis games?!
ReplyDeleteYes, Alana, you can teach Julian, me, and the baby how to play!
ReplyDeletehaha-yay!!
ReplyDeleteSo I'm sneaking another peak at the little one and am taken by the idea that we're being sent another little baby boy to love. This is going to be very special indeed. Perhaps another gift from our "little prince"?
