The pregnancy is going great, and we're having a wonderful time getting ready for Baby Goodman's arrival! Last weekend, Julian's parents came to town and my parents joined us as well to make the big transition from guest room to nursery. We've moved the bedroom furniture over to Lauren's, painted, and got most of the big things in place, so now we're picking artwork and thinking through the details. It was lots of fun looking through childhood books and furniture and getting ready to bring them all back to life.

So happy Mom got the curtains perfectly trimmed up just right |

Just days after the nursery was set up, the crib arrived! Julian doing what he does best: reading and following directions.

Alton followed along in the directions to make sure it was being done to specifications |

Coming along... |

Tightening the bolts |

Lindsay's childhood bedroom furniture and the changing table her dad made circa 1985 |

The crib you watched us assemble, the bent wood rocker from the Bendler house, nightstand from Lindsay's childhood, a few new baskets, and the curtains Judy worked on |
And drumroll...you can finally see one heck of a baby bump! He's in there, kicking away everyday!

28 weeks...and Alton and Olive jumping in the shot |
What a special time for you guys... well all of us truly! I think you'll look back at "nesting" as a sweet memory. Thanks for letting us all pitch in. So proud of you both!
ReplyDeleteLooking good, Linds! You AND the room! I love seeing all of that furniture from our childhood being put to use again. I can't wait to see it in person, and, of course, to meet your little guy when he arrives... just a few more months!
ReplyDeleteThis is fun... several people have told me that you look just like me in your kitty kisses photo. I even thought that myself when I first saw it!
